Did you know that old and plastic can become new and bombastic?
To start new eco art adventures with old toys.
Let’s give new life to old toys!
Children’s toys are found in almost every home. In almost every corner. There are them in the cabinet, the closet, the floor, the bed, the pantry, the basement, the attic… And, unfortunately, very often also on the garbage.
We all remember that “tragic” moment from childhood when a part falls off a favorite toy. An eye, a hand, or, worst of all, a head. It was impossible to stop the tears, because it was not just a toy, but a faithful friend with whom we were hanging out.
However, that moment does not have to represent the end of the game, but a new beginning.
At the “Art from waste” workshop, we will show you why and how.
All broken, broken and damaged toys can be repaired. Disadvantages and differences make us unique and special in life. A toy with a defect can be even better, if we invest creativity and imagination in its repair.
So come to the workshop “Junkyard Art” to learn together that you should not give up on anything or anyone, just because it lacks something. Be the one who, by repairing damaged toys, will make the world more beautiful, and relieve nature of excess waste.
The first in a series of these ecological-artistic workshops will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 12 noon in the Mitrovica Children’s Culture Center “Kaktus” (Braće Čolaković Street 13).
This year’s, fourth in a row, Eco Art Fest is realized under the slogan “Reduce, reuse, recycle” (3R – s: Reduce, reuse, recycle). The organizer of the festival is the Mitrovica NGO Art Point “Akvarijus”, and this year the festival is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC.
