Eco Art Festival (ECO ART FEST) is a three-day festival that will be held for the first time in North Mitrovica from 23 to 25 May 2018. Participation is open to all young people (primarily high school students and students) who have artistic sensitivity and a sense of environmental protection. At the festival, all the works of the participants of ecological and educational workshops (from March 30th to May 15th) will be presented. The best authors, selected by the expert jury, will win, as the main prize, a plaque and a $ 100 prize. Prizes are awarded in four categories: film, photography, fine arts and applied arts and fashion design.

Four workshops are planned:
WORKSHOP FOR VISUAL ART (PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILM) >>
Regardless of whether documentary or artistic, photography and film send a strong and striking message in the field of ecology and environmental protection. At the workshops, participants will be able to acquire basic knowledge in the field of photography and film, and with the assistance of lecturers, using photographic equipment will produce photographs (documentary or artistic) and short films (documentary or artistic) focusing on ecological problems residents of North Mitrovica are facing in their everyday life.
All works of the participants will be presented at the exhibition salon and the art-cinema of the Private Cultural Center Gallery “Aquarius” on May 23, 2018. Authors of the best works in the field of photography and film will receive, as the main award, a plaque and $ 100 award. The work is evaluated by an expert jury.

WORKSHOP FOR FINE ART >>
The essence of this workshop is that participants view waste material as an element of language and art. In this way they get knowledge about the possibilities of non-pollution and the necessity of recycling. At the same time, participants get an opportunity to explore the new aesthetics through the interaction between art and ecology, and to create new values of waste material. Also, waste material, observed through the prism of art, gets the opportunity for a new life in different art forms.

WORKSHOP FOR APPLIED ART FASHION DESIGN >>
Applied art provides a wide range of expressive possibilities. In the field of fashion and graphic design today, it is possible to send the most accurate and most effective message. This workshop is designed in such a way that participants gain basic insights into the techniques and possibilities of displaying messages that address the need for environmental protection through materials in the form of leaflets, posters, catalogs, labels, badges, glasses, t-shirts, as well as other parts of the dressing room.
All works of the participants will be presented at a fashion show that will be organized on the promenade in North Mitrovica on May 24, 2018. The author of the best work in the field of applied arts and fashion design will receive, as the main award, a plaque and $ 100 award . The work is judged by an expert jury.

In the field of applied arts and fashion design, four workshops are planned for the period from March 30 to May 15, 2108. The dates will be determined subsequently, in agreement with the lecturers and participants of the workshop.
WORKSHOP FOR SCULPTURE (IN NATURE) >>
In these workshops, which will take place predominantly in the open space, the participants will be able to gain insights into the practical performance of a three-dimensional work (art installation) composed of electronic and plastic waste, resistant to different atmospheric conditions: wires, transistors, diodes , computer parts, mobile phones, processors, plastic packaging.
The work (art installation) of the participants will be presented on May 25, 2018 on a public area in North Mitrovica and will remain a permanent monument for environmental protection. Installation location will be identified later. Since it is a collective work of the participants with the assistance of the lecturers, this segment is not competitive, so in this category there will be no awards.

The closing ceremony, the award ceremony in four categories (short film, photography, applied arts and fashion design and fine arts), a concert in honor of the winners, will be held at the Private Cultural Center Aquarium Gallery on May 25, 2018.
