Uroš Petrović (1967) is a writer whose works push the boundaries in contemporary literature for children and young people. He is the author of more than twenty books (160 editions, 450,000 copies) and the winner of a number of the most prestigious awards for literature for young people. His books have so far been published in Italy, Hungary, Greece, Slovenia, Romania, North Macedonia and the Czech Republic, as well as in English. Based on his award-winning novel “The Fifth Butterfly”, the first (and so far the only) feature-length 3D film in the history of Serbian cinematography was made.
He is also the author of several original board games, three of which were awarded the Good Toy Award by the Friends of Children of Serbia and two were awarded the Grand Prix for Toys with a Purpose.
Encouraged the nation to think in the cult series Fazoni i fore, as well as in the Labyrinth quiz on the Public Service of Radio Television of Serbia as the Creator of the Labyrinth and the most difficult obstacle for the contestants. He is the winner of a number of awards for photography, which he publishes all over the world. He is the co-author of the NTC learning system, and the author of the Enigmatic Questions concept, as well as the training program How to think outside the box to come up with new ideas and solutions?, Think creatively and Psychological Tango. He is a guest lecturer at colleges, schools and other educational institutions in the country and abroad, as well as in companies, at business forums and congresses. He is one of the first official creative ambassadors of Serbia within the national project Serbia Creates. He was the president of Mensa Serbia and one of the best solvers of the IQ X test in the world.
Uroš Petrović will be the guest of the fourth Eco Art Fest, which is realized under the slogan “Reduce, reuse, recycle”. The conversation with Uroš will be held at the Private Cultural Center “Aquarius” in Mitrovica on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The organizer of the festival is “Akvarijus” from Mitrovica, and the festival is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC.
